The story of the Spoon SW388 starts in 1994. Spoon Sports in conjunction with the Russian Desmond Corporation began to work together with the aim of creating the world's lightest aluminum wheel. After two years of research, development, and testing the benchmark SW388 was born; a 15x6.5 +45 4x100 wheel that weighed a mere 3.88 kilograms (8.554 pounds). As such the name SW388 was born = Spoon Wheel 3.88 KG
For nearly 20 years Honda fans have been asking Spoon Sports to revive the wheel, after production abruptly stopped in 1999 when the Desmond Corporation shut-down. Finally all our prayers were heard and Spoon Sports has begun work with Tan-ei-sya (makers of TWS wheels) to produce an All-Japan-Made Forged SW388 Wheel.
